We’re delighted at the responses we’ve received from our hosts on the new Crowdcast v2.0. The vast majority of hosts have now switched over, are loving the new stage design/features, and are reporting much higher engagement rates in their events.

As part of our move to the new platform, we will be sunsetting Crowdcast v1.0 entirely by the end of 2023. We have started the process of scaling down v1.0, and we’ll no longer have new events going live on v1.0 by September 1st.

Rest assured that all your past events will remain accessible for replays and analytics as long as you have an active account. Please note that on September 1st, the ability to run events on v1.0 will be deactivated. On December 31st, all v1.0 replays will be imported into v2.0 and stay accessible to you and your audience.

We encourage you to start running your events on v2.0 right away. We’ve redesigned the whole app to be fresh but familiar. Here are some highlights:

• Higher-quality HD video and audio
• Design stage with backgrounds and overlays
• Assign roles for co-hosts, moderators, and speakers
• Upload presentations and videos directly into the event without having to share your screen
• Have up to 11 people on stage at a time
